“Speedify is a service that provides alot more than just a VPN”

Speedify Review: Read Before Buying For Better Value For Your Money

Speedify is one of the companies that’s actually utilizing a lot of ways to be able to provide their services. It’s not entirely a VPN service, in fact – it’s something so much more.

You can think of it as something that you can use for many purposes. Imagine an expressway with four (4) or five (5) different routes – other VPN services only utilize one route (VPN); but Speedify utilizes all routes to deliver the promises they have for their services.

Today, we’ll just be discussing that! Rest assured that by the end of this article, you would have a full understanding of whether Speedify is the service for you or not.

About Speedify

Speedify wasn’t speedify when it first started. Back in 2009, the company Connectify Inc. launched Connectify. This was the startup that transformed into the VPN service we know now of.

But, Speedify itself was launched in 2016 as a multiple-cloud service, allowing people to utilize it to improve and develop their connection speeds, while making sure that their networks are kept safe and protected.

The service and the company was born and launched in the United States (U.S.), and their headquarters are in Pennsylvania and Philadelphia. The first launch, which was for Connectify, was solely for the purpose of improving and developing internet connection speeds.

As their promise to their clients, their products favor and promote empowerment, user-freedom, and protection – but is that really something you can achieve if you choose Speedify as your VPN provider?

Speed, Performance, and Reliability

The company claims the fact that they are one of the best when it comes to speed and reliability. As per them, they are a VPN service provider that has their focus in reliability, speed, and security.

Speedify offers 100% connection

Speedify is the sole and only VPN service provider that utilizes Channel Bonding. Channel Bonding is the facility that enables a user to use 3G, 4G, wired connections, and WiFi all at the same time. What this does is it enhances and develops every activity that you do online.

So, are their speeds that good? We ran a test by using the “fastest” option they had and we were surprised by the speed it has given us. Speedify claims that their speeds would be the best, but upon comparison with other VPN services, they ran and sat at the same line.

Speed when we were connected to Singapore

But, we tried using video-conferencing apps, streaming, and everything was smooth; we experienced no inconsistencies and interferences in the connection. That’s one of the things that we loved about it.

But, that’s not the only thing we liked about it. We also admired the fact that Speedify was true to its promises; we saw no ads injected on websites and pages that we visited; which was present with other VPN providers.

Users and subscribers of it also get a free 10GB every month, which was something that you can actually love more about them.

When it comes to speed, performance, and reliability, we give it a thumbs up.

Speedify is a rather small company, compared to other VPNs within the same league of the speed and protection they claim. They currently have over 200 servers In 38+ countries; in 6 continents.

The list of servers you can connect to using Speedify

What does this mean, you ask? Technically, the service will allow you to be at many different locations while you’re not physically there. The company dubs it as their “speed servers,” which are positioned and claimed to be servers that can give you the speed and the reliability you need.

The wide variety of dedicated speed servers they have, as per what they claim, are servers that regular users and companies can bank and count on for the protection and the speed they need. In addition to that, you can also select specific “torrent-friendly” servers if you are to engage in P2P activities.

Should you think that there servers aren’t enough to prove evidence to the unmatched and unparalleled speed they say, the company is working on expanding their servers to other parts of the world.

Sooner or later, they’ll be at the number of servers most people expect for them to be at.

  • Multiple services
  • Strict no logs policy
  • 256-bit AES encryption

  • No free trail

Platform and Device Compatibility

You can use Speedify in a wide range of devices such as smartphones, computers, and laptops. It’s compatible with Mac OS, Windows, iOS, Android – even Linux!

Operating systems Speedify is compatible with

You wouldn’t have to worry about device and platform compatibility with Speedify!

Logs, Security, and Privacy

As one of their features, Speedify offers encryption that is specific to the device you’re using.

Protocols that Speedify is offering

Since it supports most devices and platforms, and it’s compatible with most operating systems in the market, they made it to a point that the connections of their clients would be at the most secure.

Speedify promises 0 logs from using their services

They utilize military-grade AES encryption protocols for devices that allow it and are compatible with it. Otherwise, they have the alternative – the ChaCha algorithm. It’s the mobile version of the AES encryption for computers.

It has been proven that the ChaCha algorithm or encryption produced better results than its counterparts. In addition to that, a Datagram Transport Layer Security or DLTS, is utilized.

The internet guards and DNS security options you can choose from

This facility is the one responsible in protecting users from websites and webpages where hackers and cybercriminals could eavesdrop, lurk, or observe.

Speedify’s no log policy is also clear about the fact that they never keep logs or data of their clients. The transparency they have when it comes to these can be seen and read in their Terms and Services, as well as their Privacy Policy.

And if you look there, you’ll see their statement about the fact that they keep track of the following:

  • WiFi Network Name
  • Public IP Address
  • Volume of Connections
  • Data Transfer Records

While these aren’t critical and crucial information that can lead to data and privacy leaks, it’s still something you need to know about.

Keep in mind that because they care about speed and the experience of users, they need to track and trace whatever’s happening with their networks and connections. So, if you’re all about hiding everything as much as you can, think twice about choosing Speedify as your VPN service provider.

Streaming and P2P Capabilities

One of the main drawbacks that Speedify has was the fact that it doesn’t really unblock Netflix, Hulu, HBO, and Disney+. At first, we thought that there’s a workaround to it – out of all the 200+ servers they have, there could be at least one server that allows access to it, right?

Speedify has an option in their app to help you unblock it – it’s called the “Bypass” option. This lists the websites that Speedify can bypass and unblock for you.

The option you can tick if you want to bypass geographical restrictions of websites

Unfortunately, no. Speedify wasn’t able to access content that has been blocked in a geographical sense. Even after we ticked the Netflix bypass option, it still didn’t help us with what we needed. We ran through multiple servers to make it work.

A good thing about it is that it was able to unblock and access YouTube videos that are geo-restricted.

Only 2 out of 5 servers worked to unblock Netflix

So, if one of your goals and your aims in using a VPN service is to be able to unblock U.S. Netflix, Speedify might not be the service for you.

Because it doesn’t allow Netflix restrictions, it would automatically decline P2P traffic, too, right? Fortunately, no! As a matter of fact, the servers they have in the Netherlands allow P2P traffic.

NOTE: You need to make sure that you’re connected to the Netherlands servers to be able to allow P2P.

Customer Support Team

One of the best things about Speedify is the fact that they’re clear and concise about the support they have for their customers and their clients. On their website, you’ll be able to see the full and the comprehensive FAQ that they have.

Comprehensive guides and support by the Speedify team

This FAQ guide is so complete that we never needed any more support about the questions and the queries we had with Speedify. It answered everything from the setup process, the activation, and even how we can toggle and surf through some of the servers that they have globally.

But, if you think you need further support , you can reach them and their email support. They’re open from 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. from Mondays ‘til Thursdays; and from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Fridays ‘til Sundays.

When you contact and shoot them an email within their operating hours, expect an answer within 1 to 2 hours. Otherwise, you’ll receive your response within the next business hour – which could be longer than how you expected it.

A lot of clients and customers are actually thinking and suggesting that they have a more customer-centered support team; in fact, we, too, would like to experience support 24/7. So that in case we need emergency support and assistance, any member of their team would be able to support us.

Rates and Prices

Unlike other VPN service providers that are offering plain and single plans, Speedify is more flexible. They’re offering three (3) different packages: Individuals, Families, and Teams. Let’s discuss each of their rates and prices.

Speedify is flexible and versatile when it comes to the offers they have; and that’s one thing that you can be thankful for.

Do They Offer a Money-Back Guarantee?

Speedify is offering a 30-day money-back guarantee. This is to make sure that their clients are getting exactly what they wanted and what they needed. There are some users who really aren’t fond of using some features until the time they really experience using it.

This is something that Speedify understands, that’s why they’re offering a risk-free, money-back guarantee for a month.

Free Trial?

If you’re a user who is looking for a free trial, Speedify might not be the company for you. The company does not offer free trials; but you can take advantage of the money-back guarantee in the event that you’re not satisfied with their services.

In our case, though, our team enjoyed the family plan – so we stuck to it. We liked the service overall, and it was something we never expected for a VPN service this cheap and affordable.

Our Verdict: Do We Recommend It?

Based on our tests, Speedify ended with flying colors based on the expectations we had from it. It might not be something that can help you unblock Netflix and other streaming services, but it definitely stayed true to the speed and the reliability it promises.

We ran tests for DNS leaks and we weren’t able to see any; we also tried continuous connections and streams, and failures and bad things never got to us.

But, for the major drawback of it being unable to unblock Netflix geographical locations – it could be a serious point for some people, especially those who utilize VPN services for that purposes.

Overall, though, it’s something that we recommend. For a cheap, affordable, and a dependable VPN service, which wouldn’t actually give you a ton of headaches, don’t hesitate to use and to utilize it!
